August 20, 2026 - Throwback Thursday - War of the Bounty Hunters

Hey there, Adventurers! It's Thursday, that means we're doing a Throwback Thursday in the new format where I open a comic box, reach in, grab a comic, and tell you about that series, storyline, or character.

Today, we have Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters from Marvel. This story came out a few years ago and tells the tale of how Boba Fett got a frozen in carbonite Han Solo from Cloud City to Jabba's Palace. Needless to say, it wasn't a straight flight as several other bounty hunters sought to claim Han Solo and the bounty for themselves as well as Han's friends trying to catch up and rescue him from the clutches of Boba Fett.

The story involved an Alpha issue, a 5 issue mini-series, several one-shots, and crossed over into the main Star Wars titles at the time including Star Wars, Darth Vader, Bounty Hunters, and Doctor Aphra.

It's a fun story with some deep cuts to Star Wars continuity and definitely worth checking out.
