August 21, 2025 - Throwback Thursday - Detective Comics #575-578

Hey there, Adventurers! I hope your week is going well. Happy Thursday. It's time for #ThrowbackThursday, so let's take a look at Detective Comics #575-#578. It was a four-part story called Batman: Year Two.

In the story, readers find out that Batman was not the first protector of Gotham City. Before him, there was The Reaper. Now, with Batman fighting crime, the Reaper decides it's time to return and return to his more "final" treatment of the criminals in Gotham.

Batman winds up having to work with the people he's trying to take down, and he is forced to team up with a person who had the most drastic effect on Batman's life.

The story is really good. It's one of my favorite Batman stories. The story featured art from Alan Davis (an all time great) on the first part of the story with Todd McFarlane finishing out the remaining issues.
