August 8, 2025 - Flashback Friday - Avengers: The Initiative

Hey there, Adventurers! I hope your week has gone well. It's Fri-YAY!

Time for #FlashbackFriday in the world of comics, so let's take a look at The Initiative from Marvel. Following the events of Civil War, the Avengers and the government set up Initiative centers across the country for the purposes of training young superheroes in the use of their powers, so an event, like Stamford, which started Civil War, doesn't happen again.

It was a pretty cool series with great art. It had drama, betrayals, secrets, and a pretty high body count by the time issue 12 came out. I'd recommend checking out issues #1-#12.
