Happy Friday! I hope your week has gone well.

On Fridays, I like to share details about a comic series or event that you may have missed or, maybe, want to take a fresh look at.

Today, let's take a look at Avengers Arena (Murderworld). Long time comic readers recognize Murderworld as the crazy, amusement park/video game themed den of death run by the criminal Arcade. Much of Murderworld involves traps and games designed to end only when someone dies.

The series was pretty well received. It featured some legacy heroes like Darkhawk, X-23, and some new faces like Reptil, Hazmat, and others. I kind of describe it as Battle Royal meets Hunger Games.

The series ran it's course and wrapped up everything by the end of the run. A second series debuted shortly afterwards that followed the survivors of Avengers Arena as they sought out the person responsible in order to get their revenge.
