June 27, 2025 - Flashback Friday - Afterlife with Archie

Happy Friday! I hope your day is off to a good start! It's #FlashbackFriday time, so let's take a look at an interesting comic series from the mid-2010s.

Afterlife with Archie. While I've read my share of Archie comics, I've never been a big fan. Afterlife with Archie took the Riverdale gang, threw in a supernatural curse, and mixed in some zombies for a really dramatic and intense series.

The art was very moody and minimalist which worked great for the series. Unfortunately, extended breaks between issues resulted in the later part of the series experiencing months-long delays between issues, and it eventually was quietly canceled.

Still thought, it's a pretty cool series and definitely worth checking out. Maybe, one day, they'll return to Afterlife with Archie and wrap it all up.
