May 30, 2025 - Flashback Friday - Spy Boy

Happy Friday! I hope your week has gone well. It's been a wet 'n' wild one here with rain almost everyday. I don't know about you, but I'm ready for a little drying out period.

It's time for #FlashbackFriday. This week I wanted to share one of my favorite series from Peter David, who passed away last week, called Spy Boy. The series followed high schooler Alex Fleming who discovers he's really a sleep spy agent. Soon, he has to learn how to juggle his spy activities and maintaining his civilian cover.

The series has great art from Pop Mahn, and it showcased a lot of action and a lot of humor, which Peter David did really well.

Unfortunately, the series kind of fizzled out and just faded away. Which, to be honest, wasn't unheard of at the time. Prioroities change. Tastes change. And some things just peter out. It was still a great series and one I'd recommend checking out.
