May 8, 2025 - Throwback Thursday - The X-Men vs. The Brood

Happy Thursday! Let's do a #ThrowbackThursday and take a look at an older comic or story and see what's going on.

Today, I'm looking at a couple of issues of X-Men featuring one of their classic villains, The Brood. The Brood are a race of parasitic creatures that lay eggs in their hosts. When the eggs hatch, they take over the host body and can assume the hosts physical form, mimic their voices, and, if the host has super-powers, the Brood can utilize those powers as well.

The X-Men and the Brood have a long history, and several X-Men have barely survived being impregnated with a Brood egg. Storm and Wolverine are probably the two most famous examples.
