November 20, 2024 - New Comic Book Day - TOP 3 PICKS

It's a New Comic Book Day, the happiest day of the week, but I'm a little biased.

STORE UPDATE: Permits, permits, and permits...There is some movement of the permit front, but I'm going to hold back on that card for a couple more days, just in case something happens, and I wind up having to redact my statement.

TOP 3 PICKS of the Week -

1. Wonder Woman 15 from DC Comics. This is a great jumping on point and the start of the a new storyline. If you wanted to get Wonder Woman 14 as kind of a prelude to this issue you could, but it isn't necessary to get what's going on. Fantastic writing and great art make this a definite pick up.

2. The Question: All Along the Watchtower 1 from DC Comics. Renee Montoya stars as The Question in this closed-room mystery story on the new Justice League Watchtower satellite. #BlueBeetle and Ted Kord make a surprising appearance as supporting characters.

3. Rocketfellers 1 from Image Comics and Ghost Machine felt like a scramble of time travel, Swiss Family Robinson, with a splash of Fantastic Four/Challengers of the Unknown vibes. I enjoyed the world building in this issue, and there's a definite promise of more adventures in upcoming issues. This is a great start to the story. Trust me, you'll finish reading this issue and will be upset that you have to wait for issue 2.

I hope you have a good New Comic Book Day. Leave a comment. Share what you're picking up.
