September 10, 2026 - Throwback Thursday - Birds of Prey

Hey there, Adventurers! It's time for a new episode of Throwback Thursday. This is where I reach into a comic box, grab and handful of issues and tell you about them

This week we're taking at look at DC Comics Birds of Prey. The series following Barbara Gordon, who had been paralyzed and was no longer Batgirl, and Black Canary, who had also lost her powers from events in Green Arrow: The Longbow Hunters.

The two were paired up with Black Canary acting as a field agent who went on missions while Barbara Gordon fed her all the information she'd need to complete the mission.

The original series ran for over a 100 issues, and other characters were added to the team including: Huntress, Power Girl, Big Barda, and others. Birds of Prey has been restarted several times, the most recent volume wrapped up last year.

Come on down to Adventures in Ink and check out Birds of Prey. We have issues.
