September 17, 2025 - TOP 3 PICKS - New Comics Book Day

Hey there, Adventurers!

Happy Wednesday! Happy #NCBD! There's a lot of cool stuff on the shelves today including a full complement of Absolute Batman #1-#7 new printings as well as #Deadpool/#Batman #1.

Here's my TOP 3 PICKS for this week.
1. Good As Dead #1 from Image Comics and Skybound Entertainment. This is a great start to a really cool looking crime noir style story with some interesting Hitchcockian-esque elements. Definitely worth jumping on checking out!

2. New Gods #10 from DC Comics. I've been a fan of this New Gods run back when it started, and things are looking really interesting as the story moves into its final couple of issues.

3. Casey Jones #1 from IDW Publishing. Following up on Casey's injuries from the main #tmnt title. He's out to prove he's still the same old Casey. I've jumped onto the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when it restarted with #1 last year, and each issue and new series just adds more depth and layers to the TMNT Universe.
