Hey there, Adventurers! I hope your week is going well. It's a NCDB (New Comic Book Day), so that means there's a bunch of new stuff on the shelf from returning classics like Mad Cave Studios' The Phantom #1, to 2nd issues of exciting new stories including Marvel's Black Cat #2 and DC Comics' Immortal Legend Bat-Man #2.
Here are my TOP 3 PICKS:
1. Battleworld #1 from Marvel. Take a bunch of heroes from different times and realities, drop 'em on a planet, have 'em fight till only one is left. Now, here's the thing about this issue, there's a last page reveal where if you know what happened in "Storyline X" from a few years ago, then the upcoming issues are going to be "interesting" and not in a good way.
2. Green Lantern #27 from DC Comics. There's enough in this issue to make any Green Lantern fan go, "Squee!"
3. The Mortal Thor #2 from Marvel. Thor's alone on Earth with no memory of who he used to be, what he used to do, where he's from, where he's going, or anything. He does, however, have a hammer, and, sometimes, that's all a guy really needs.
